Bio

Mr. Poffenberger joined MCM Capital Corporation during February 1996 and co-founded MCM Capital Partners, L.P. during 1998. He is responsible for executing investment transactions and managing portfolio companies. Prior to joining MCM Capital Partners, Mr. Poffenberger was a principal with the Edgewater Group, a Cleveland, Ohio based investment banking boutique specializing in advising or participating in leveraged buyout transactions. During his nine-year tenure with Edgewater, he completed or participated in numerous buy-out transactions of smaller middle-market manufacturing companies whose revenues ranged from $10 million to $70 million. Concurrently, he also served as Director of Corporate Development of Larizza Industries, Inc., an Edgewater affiliate holding company that acquired and built businesses operating in the automotive plastics, automotive electronics and defense industries. In that capacity, he contributed to the strategic planning and corporate finance activities of Larizza Industries and its portfolio companies including numerous debt financings, an initial public offering, ten acquisitions, and the divestiture of portfolio companies. Larizza’s final portfolio company, Manchester Plastics (Tier-1 automotive supplier) was sold in January, 1996 to Collins and Aikman for $175 million. Mr. Poffenberger serves on several boards including Inservco, Inc. and Primary Packaging, Inc. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kent State University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
