Dean T Criares is a Senior Managing Director of The Blackstone Group, Co-Head of the GSO Debt Funds Group, and a member of that Group’s Investment Committee. Upon joining Blackstone in 2002, Mr Criares became Co- Chairman of the Investment Committee of Blackstone’s Corporate Debt Group and was responsible for the strategic direction of the group as well as oversight of its investment process. Before joining Blackstone, Mr Criares worked at CIBC World Markets for 15 years. In his last assignment at CIBC he was a Managing Director and a Portfolio Manager for the structured investment vehicles managed by Trimaran Advisors LLC. Prior to that, Mr Criares was responsible at CIBC for structuring and underwriting senior secured debt, primarily for leveraged issuers. Before joining CIBC, Mr Criares worked for European American Bank. Received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Drew University and an MBA from Columbia University.
