Bio
Joel Hwang joined HarbourVest's secondary investment team as an associate in 2008. He focuses on analyzing, structuring, and monitoring portfolios of direct investments, structured transactions, and other secondary private equity opportunities. Joel joined the Firm from Citigroup in New York, where he spent two years as an investment banking analyst in the Global Technology Group, where he concentrated on mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt financings in the IT services and business process outsourcing sectors. His prior experience includes a summer investment banking analyst position also with Citigroup's Global Technology Group. Joel received a BA in Economics (magna cum laude) from Dartmouth College in 2006.
