Co-founded GSC Partners in 1994 and is responsible for the firm’s strategic initiatives. He was previously a Managing Director of The Blackstone Group from 1990 to 1994. In 1993, he was based in Hong Kong, where he headed The Blackstone Group’s Asian private equity business. Was based in Tokyo from 1990 to 1992, where he advised US and Asian clients of The Blackstone Group seeking to make direct investments in Japan, Thailand, China, the Philippines and other parts of Asia. Prior thereto, was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he worked in the Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions Departments from 1986 to 1990. Director of China Interactive Media Group, RAM Holdings Ltd, Swift Armour Holdings Co, and Telex Communications Inc. Graduated with Honors from Brown University with a BA degree in Semiotics, from The Wharton School with an MBA degree, and from the University of Pennsylvania with an MA in International Studies. He is also a Fellow of The Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management & International Studies.
