Bio

Mackey Craven joined Bessemer in 2010 and is an analyst in the New York office. Prior to BVP, Mackey worked as a consultant for Continuum Energy Technologies, a firm researching new methods to shift the properties of metals for clean energy applications. He also worked as an intern at Hudson Bay Capital Management, where he designed and implemented a screening system for the private placement of public equity and analyzed the performance trends of special-purpose acquisition companies to more accurately predict returns on investment. Mackey was also a founding member of BioVolt, a company founded at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology focused on designing low-cost microbial fuel cells for use in the developing world. Master’s degree in technology and policy as well as B.S. degrees in both biological engineering and mathematics from MIT, from which he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
