Mark Callaghan joined McCaw Cellular Communications in 1987 as Director of Acquisitions and Development. He was part of the acquisition team that built the McCaw cellular network nationwide through the acquisition of cellular licenses. Mark left McCaw in 1988 to co-found Capital Cellular and later Columbia Cellular in Washington DC. C & C quickly established themselves as the leading wireless brokerage firm in the country handling over $1 Billion worth of transactions between 1988-90. From 1991-93 Mark was a co-founder and initial Director of Business Development for PhotoDisc in Seattle. From 1994-95 Mark returned to McCaw to work for the International Division. He led a team that applied for cellular licenses in Colombia, Ecuador, Israel and India. He then managed the construction and launch of the first nationwide cellular network in Columbia. Upon the sale of McCaw to AT&T in 1995, Mark joined Eagle River, Craig McCaw's holding company as VP of Acquisitions. This involved working closely with several of the Eagle River Portfolio companies such as Nextlink and Nextel. Since 1998, Mark has been a Partner in Cedar Grove Investments. He serves on the boards of; PlayNetwork, Inc. and Invertix. He received his BA from the University of Washington.
