Michael Segal

Bio

Michael Segal, an analyst based in the New York office, joined Bessemer in 2008. He focuses on consumer-Internet, online-retail and software-as-a-service investments. Prior to Bessemer, Michael worked in strategy and business development with the founding teams of two early-stage technology companies involved in the online-marketing and e-commerce sectors. Previously, he founded and served as co-president of the Harvard College Entrepreneurship Forum, a 500-member organization dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship within the Harvard community. Michael’s prior work experience includes molecular genetics and biotechnology research at both the California Institute of Technology and Harvard’s Bauer Center for Genomics Research. B.S. degree in biochemical sciences, summa cum laude, from Harvard University.
