Bio

Ms Schnabel is Co-Head of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and a Managing Director of Credit Suisse's Asset Management business, based in Los Angeles. She is responsible for originating new investments and monitoring existing investments and serves on its Investment Committee. Ms Schnabel is also a member of the Investment Committee of Hudson Capital, a joint venture formed by Credit Suisse to invest in alternative energy Ms Schnabel joined Credit Suisse First Boston in November 2000 through the merger with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where she was a Managing Director. Prior to the merger, Ms Schnabel spent three years at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, and was responsible for directing DLJ's principal investing activities in the Los Angeles office. Prior to that, Ms Schnabel served as Chief Financial Officer of PETsMART. Previously, Ms Schnabel worked at DLJ starting in 1990 and has held various positions in their investment banking operations, specializing in public and private high yield debt and equity financings and mergers and acquisitions advisory for a variety of industries including retail, telecommunications, technology and consumer products. Prior to that, she worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Beverly Hills, in 1988 as an Associate. Ms Schnabel serves as a Director of DeCrane Aircraft Holdings, DenMat Holdings, Frontier Drilling, Laramie Energy, Luxury Optical Holdings, Pinnacle Gas (NASDAQ: PINN), Specialized Technology Resources Inc. (NYSE: STRI), Target Media Partners and Total Safety US. Ms Schnabel also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Forest Foundation and the Los Angeles Music Foundation and is a member of C200. Ms Schnabel holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
