Barry Cheskin

Bio

Barry Cheskin is a seasoned medical device executive who began his career in the medical device industry as a senior engineer at C.R. Bard. Currently, he is the President & CEO and Co-Founder of PowerVision. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of NanoGram Devices Corp., a nanotechnology-based medical device company. Previously, he was the President and CEO of RITA Medical Systems, Inc., a minimally invasive cancer device company. He was also a Division President at another medical device company, Datascope Corp., where he launched the VasoSeal vascular puncture sealing product. Barry has served as a Senior Associate in the management consulting firm of Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Barry holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Barry currently serves as Chairman of the Board of AirXpanders, one of its portfolio companies, where he was also a Co-Founder.
