Bio

Prior to co-founding Halifax, Mr Dupree was a Managing Director and Partner with The Carlyle Group, where he was primarily responsible for investments in healthcare and related sectors. Prior to joining The Carlyle Group in 1992, Mr Dupree was a Principal in Corporate Finance with Montgomery Securities and prior to that, he was Co-Head of Equity Private Placements at Alex Brown & Sons Incorporated. Mr Dupree holds a Small Business Administration approval certificate, and is a qualified vendor services provider to gambling entities in substantially all of the major jurisdictions in the US. Mr Dupree is a member of the Boards of Directors of the following Halifax portfolio companies: IASIS Healthcare Corporation, North American Video Inc (Chairman), PJ United Inc, CR LLC, parent entity for Trio Inc. and Nutrition Physiology Corporation. Mr Dupree also served on the boards of Meineke Car Care Centers Inc, InSight Health Services Corp, Universal Hospital Services Inc, PolyPipe Inc, and Soil Safe Inc. Mr Dupree is also a Managing Member and member of the Management Committee of Salem-Halifax Capital Partners LLC, an SBA mezzanine lending company. Mr Dupree is currently a Trustee of Wake Forest University and is a member of the Investment Policy Committee for the Wake Forest Endowment. He is past Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. In the recent past, Mr Dupree served as a Trustee for St Patrick's Episcopal School in Washington DC where he was also Chairman of the Finance Committee. Mr Dupree earned a BS from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his MBA from the Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University.
