David Zug

Bio

David Zug joined HarbourVest's direct investment team in late 2005 and focuses on originating, evaluating, and executing direct investments in growth equity, buyout, and mezzanine transactions. David has been involved in several of the Firm's direct investments, including Adesa, GTS Eastern Europe, Paris Re, SafeNet, and Sun Products Corporation. David's prior experience includes four years at The Monitor Group, an international strategy consulting firm, where he focused on growth strategy for Fortune 1000 companies, rapid-cycle due diligence for private equity clients, and deal sourcing within the Monitor network on behalf of Monitor Clipper Partners. His previous experience also includes investment banking, environmental engineering consulting, and Outward Bound expedition leadership. David received a BA (cum laude) from Dartmouth College in 1994 and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia in 2001.
