A J Agarwal is a Senior Managing Director in the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Group. Since joining Blackstone in 1992, Mr Agarwal has worked on a variety of mergers and acquisitions advisory and private equity transactions. In addition, he has completed structured financings, joint venture agreements and numerous strategic advisory assignments. In media, Mr Agarwal has executed corporate advisory assignments on behalf of Sony Corporation, YankeeNets, William Morris Agency, Columbia House, numerous outdoor advertising companies and Fukutake Publishing. In real estate/leisure, Mr Agarwal has executed assignments on behalf of Cendant Corporation, Central Parking, Navigant International, Westin Hotels & Resorts, DeBartolo Realty Corporation, Carlson Companies, Icon Parking, Rosenbluth International, Kinney Parking, Interstate Hotels, Imperial Parking, TravelWeb, Lodgian, and other leading companies. Before joining Blackstone, Mr Agarwal was with Bain & Co. Mr Agarwal graduated from Princeton University, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa and received an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He serves as a trustee of Princeton University’s Foundation for Student Communication, the publisher of Business Today magazine.
