Karen Hansen

Bio

Karen joined Pomona in 2011 as a General Counsel. Prior to joining Pomona Capital, Ms. Hansen was the General Counsel at FLAG Capital Management where she built both the legal and compliance functions for the firm. Previously, Ms. Hansen served as Tax Counsel at AIG Investments where she reviewed alternative investments on behalf of the AIG pension plan and insurance subsidiaries. She also served as a tax lawyer at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault and Proskauer Rose where she focused on the review and negotiations of venture capital, private equity, and hedge fund investments. Karen received a J.D. from Northeastern University and a B.S. from University of Delaware.
