Richard Owen

Bio

Mr Owen is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Yellowstone and is actively involved in the leadership of Yellowstone Energy Ventures, Yellowstone Energy Products, Yellowstone Life Sciences, L.P., and Yellowstone Brands, Ltd. Prior to joining Yellowstone in early 2002, Mr Owen had been a senior executive with Notre Capital Ventures in Houston, Texas, one of the US's most prolific merchant bank/venture firms. Since its founding in 1994, Notre created/sponsored 13 companies between 1994 and 2000, eight of which were taken public on the New York Stock Exchange. During his tenure at Notre, Mr Owen participated fully in almost all aspects of the process of creating and starting companies. He worked on concept creation, business plan drafting, infrastructure building, management team recruiting, forecasting/projections, fund raising, contract negotiation, bank debt negotiation, SEC filing and numerous other corporate finance activities. Mr Owen was also the Chief Financial Officer and President of one of the New York Stock Exchange companies that Notre created and took public in 1995. Prior to his tenure at Notre and the public company, Mr Owen was a partner at Arthur Andersen, where he had an 18+ year career in both the accounting and consulting sides of Andersen’s business. In addition to years spent in Andersen’s oilfield and financial services industries auditing both public and private companies, Mr Owen was instrumental in helping the firm start many of its non-audit consulting practices and leading those practices after their creation. Mr Owen is a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Accounting and maintained a CPA certificate while at Andersen.
