Scott Anderson co founded Cedar Grove Partners, LLC, the predecessor to Cedar Grove Investments. He is a board member of Triton PCS, Inc. (TPCS) and Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFII) and is an observer on the boards of Telephia, Inc. and Callvision.com. He was a board member of Tegic Communications until that company's merger into AOL in late 1999, of Xypoint, Inc. until that company's merger into Telecommunications Systems, Inc. (TCSA) in early 2001, and of Telecorp PCS until that company's merger into AT&T Wireless in early 2002. Before co founding Cedar Grove Partners, Anderson was the Senior Vice President (acquisitions and development) with McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc./AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. In that role, he handled in excess of $900 million worth of transactions from his appointment in 1991 until he left AT&T in 1997, working with more than 30 wireless markets. His work involved business, tax, securities and litigation components of deal making and closings. Anderson also served as a board member and advisor to PriCellular Corp. and Horizon Cellular Group. As vice president (law) with McCaw Cellular from 1991 until 1998, Anderson served as chief in-house counsel on dozens of cellular acquisitions and McCaw’s $1.3 billion dollar sale of properties to Contel Cellular. Beginning in private law practice, Anderson's communications career commenced in 1986 when he began working for McCaw Cellular Communications as assistant vice president (law), and served as general in-house counsel, specializing in cellular acquisitions. Anderson graduated from the University of Washington magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a bachelor of arts in history. He then earned his law degree, with highest honors (valedictorian) from the University of Washington Law School.
