Bio

Bill is President and founder of TRN Capital, LLC, a Boston-based private equity firm. He brings to incTANK his deep experience in global strategy and business development across the financial services sector, including venture capital and private equity. Prior to forming Triathlon in 2008, he was Vice Chairman of State Street Corporation and President and CEO of State Street Global Advisors, with USD 1.9 trillion in assets under management. Before joining State Street in 1994 as Managing Director of its Tokyo office, he served as senior investment officer for AIG in Japan and held various equity research and trading positions with Swiss Bank Corporation International (Asia). He has a Bachelor of Arts from Bates College, and a Masters of International Business from the University of South Carolina. Bill is a current trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, an overseer of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chairman of the Japan Society of Boston, board member of the U.S.-Japan Bridging Foundation, and in 2009 served as a Senior Fellow at Harvard Law School’s Program on International Financial Systems.
